1. MOM- Who is better suited to help you design your wedding than the woman who knows you best? Mommy-dearest will be ready to handle any stress induced tears or rants, and be ready to fix it with her calming wisdom. Your mom will play right hand man in this tedious planning period.

2. DAD- Your dad is your go-to for working out vendor contracts and finances. Let your dad help build your budget and negotiate when needed. During the planning he’ll be the logistics man, but on the day of your dad will be there to support and love you as you move into a new chapter of life.

3. SISTER- She has been your lifelong partner-in-crime, and that doesn’t stop here. Her sisterly duties will come into play as she and your bridesmaids will take care of tasks you wouldn’t dare ask your relatives to partake in. The bachelorette party and boudoir shoot are events that you’ll want to keep sissy close by!

4. GRANDMA- There is no better time or memories to share with your grandma than this! While she may not be the best help with physical activities, she’s a wealth of knowledge and experience. Grandma can help you find registry items, tell you the keys to a happy marriage, and tag along to help you find that perfect dress. All in all, she is going to be thrilled for you and your Mr., and will love any part of your big day she gets to share in.

5. MOTHER-IN-LAW- There’s a new woman in your life, and what better way to bond than over a glass of pinot and some invitation stamping? Take some time to get to know your mother-in-law and also knock out some pesky DIYs by having a wine night. She’ll be happy you’ve included her in the process and you will both benefit from spending some quality time together.

6. AUNTS, UNCLES, COUSINS- While you may not see each other as much as you’d like, they are still family and want you to have a joyous wedding day. Keep them in mind when those errands start piling up and you could use an extra pair of hands.

At the end of the day, family is what this time is all about. When you look back on your wedding planning, the simple times spent with loved ones is what you’ll remember most. So use this time as a way to bring together your current family, and celebrate the new family you will soon be a part of. Let everyone lend a helping hand so that you may have time to appreciate this period of love and togetherness.
