Lowndes Grove’s provided the perfect Charleston charm for this Chicago-based couple to celebrate their wedding day with family and friends. Having their wedding in Charleston, South Carolina was something that was particularly important to Cat and Steve. Cat’s Charleston ties come from attending graduate school here, and Steve grew up spending family vacations in the area. It was no surprise that the couple decided on this picturesque waterfront venue for their ceremony and reception location. Cat and Steve took a minimalistic approach to their décor using glass orbs filled with moss and succulents by Branch. For good luck, Cat and her family hand folded 1,000 paper cranes prior to the wedding, to serve as a unique focal point as well as a traditional symbol of love. The main focus of the décor was a chandelier by Branch using the 1,000 paper cranes Cat and her family created. Cat and Steve’s gorgeous wedding day was photographed by Molly Joseph Photography. This was certainly a night they will never forget! To read more about their wedding, check out their feature article on The Knot.
